We have been traveling. Although it feels like all over the world, it was just to Kansas City, San Francisco, Idaho, and St. Louis. Years have passed by... oh wait, it was only a few weeks. We went to see the ROCK. I expected a rock - it was so much more. Here's a glimpse of what I discovered on this rock...
Of course, the pictures say nothing of the interesting history and people who have spent time living on the ROCK...

Wow - I wouldn't expect such beauty on the rock that I have only seen from afar.
Alcatraz is one of my very favorite San Francisco memories. I think we went when I was 9 or 10, and I still remember lots about it. (Have you read "Al Capone Does My Shirts"? I liked it.)
